This is the personal website for Neil MacGillivray, a textile artist based in Perth.
My first solo exhibition at Birnam Arts was a great success, including 19 pieces sold, so I was very happy with the run. Thank you to all at Birnam Arts, and everyone who visited and purchased, in making this exhibition a success.

‘Strips and Stripes‘ was my first solo show, taking place at the excellent Birnam Arts centre in Perthshire in spring 2020.
Taking cues from topics as diverse as geological features, road markings and contemporary tapestry weavings, along with abstract landscape images based on many days walking in the Scottish mountains, this was an exhibition of new pieces, most of which happily sold.
STOP PRESS – 31 August 2019 – My quilt ‘Dundee’, a contemporary representation of the River Tay and the new V&A Museum, won 2nd prize at the Harrogate Great North Quilt Show.
STOP STOP PRESS – 11 January 2020 – ‘Dundee’ sold along with 3 other pieces on the opening day of the Birnam exhibition!
